PCB Assembly

Surface Mount

Investment in new surface mount equipment has enabled the company to complete much larger production runs, boasting 0.01mm accuracy at high speed, placing over 16,000 components an hour, and can place SMT components down to 0201 (0.6mm x 0.3mm).

We currently use a large conveyorised, zone temperature-controlled Convection Reflow Oven. Using refined reflow soldering profiles to suit the characteristics of a particular printed circuit board, ensuring a quality soldering process and avoiding overheating and damage to electrical components beyond their temperature tolerances.

Through-Hole

Through hole assembly is commonly used for larger components with axial and radial leads. Where much stronger mechanical bonds are required, through hole components are soldered onto bare board by using our wave soldering machinery or can be hand soldered.

Our Electronic Assembly team can accommodate any type of printed circuit boards, including single-sided, double-sided and multilayer PCBs. We combine our years of expertise with attention to detail in order to meet every manufacturing requirement. This is supported by our investment in machinery and tooling. Components are placed under anti-static conditions and completed PCBs will be cleaned in our PCB Washer Machine.

The company offer a Conformal Coating Service. Conformal coating is a thin polymeric film applied to a printed circuit board (PCB) to protect the board and its components from the environment and corrosion, and ultimately extending the working life of the PCB. The use of conformal coatings is particularly important in automotive, military, aerospace, marine, lighting, industrial and green energy applications. However, enquires have grown for this service within the electronics industry, with conformal coatings finding their way into the domestic and mobile electronics industries.

To ensure acceptability of the electronic assemblies supplied, we adhere to the IPC-A-610 standard, published by the IPC and recognised and supported by industry experts, manufacturers, and customers worldwide.
